FREE Tutoring Program ~The Learning Zone                 

 

 

 

 

                                  

First Presbyterian Church's tutoring program, the Learning Zone,

has launched its fall/Spring 2024-2025 program.

​

From September through May we offer tutoring to students in grades 1st through 6th.                       Students are paired with a volunteer tutor who provides one-on-one homework help.                        Together, we work on academic goals, providing help with math, reading, and comprehension. The program helps both children and tutors grow in self-confidence,

learn about each other’s worlds, and develop friendships.

 

              Volunteers are the heart and soul of our tutoring program. If you have a love for children and 90 minutes a week to spare, simply fill out our Tutor Application form below and email to fpcturlocklearningzone@gmail.com

Our new Tutoring Director, Terri Rodger, has joined our ministry to help it

grow and thrive in the local community. 

As a retired teacher from Turlock School District in 2019

after 34 years of service as an educator, Terri is bringing her gifts of nurturing and educating to the children of FPC Learning Zone.

 

The Learning Zone Ministry is a two-day program.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 - 5:00 pm,

students of the community come to get enriched in their academic lives.
