WENDY WARNER

Parish Associate & Director of Music

Being raised in a family of musicians, Wendy began her musical studies on the violin at an early age.  She was selected to play in regional honors orchestra and was concert mistress of her high school orchestra as well as student conductor.  After beginning her studies in choral conducting at age 14, she became the director of her first adult church choir at age 17 and has not looked back!

When their four children were in high school, Wendy felt God’s call to be an ordained Pastor. After her ordination, she and her husband David co-pastored Geneva Presbyterian Church in Modesto, CA for 20 wonderful years.  During that time, Wendy continued to sing in the church choir and was the director of both the adult and youth Bell Choirs.  She sang with Townsend Opera Co. for 10 years and also conducted the combined choirs for the Habitat for Humanity Benefit concert on three occasions.

Retirement for Wendy means the opportunity to spend more time with music, becoming the Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church of Turlock in summer of 2014.  Wendy is responsible for the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir and the overall music program of the church.
