MARCY WRIGHT
Director of Children Ministry
Marcy was raised in a Christian home and asked Jesus into her heart as a four-year-old. As a teen, she felt God's call on her life and headed to Bible college where she met and married Pastor Craig Wright.
Marcy began teaching children about the love of Jesus as a thirteen-year-old. Her desire that they understand how much God loves them has led her to develop a combination Sunday/midweek 3 year curriculum for preschool through sixth grade. Sunday lessons focus on a Bible overview, while the midweek units cover the major topics of the Westminster Confession. She also wrote a two-year in-depth Bible overview for junior high. She incorporates games, crafts, song, snacks, and activities to engage the children in the love of learning. Each activity serves to reinforce the lesson. The children actively participate in memorizing Scripture and understanding what it means.
She has developed a youth performance team including puppets, song, bells, and drama. Marcy directs children's musicals complete with costumes, choreography, and sign language.
Finally, her passion for missions has led her to Guatemala as the coordinator and director of twelve mission’s trips, involving over dozens of team members from multiple churches and civic organizations, as well as participating in multiple trips to Mexico. Marcy is a vital part of our ministry and a passionate servant of Christ!
